  We came in today, and we were thrilled to stop at the Ponderosa for an early dinner. We were both craving a good steak! That's what Ponderosa Restaurant is known for, right? We've always had great food at the one near home. Unfortunately, that's not what we received here. The salad bar was very limited. Corn sitting out in a cooking pot instead of being held at a warm temperature. Only meat option was some type of sliced overcooked beef, chicken wings or chicken & dumplings. No seasoning or flavor in the veggies. The salad was good tho. Both steaks came out overcooked the first time, undercooked the second. My first steak looked like someone ripped a hole out of the center of it before serving. The second steak was all fat and TINY. "Fried onions" were raw and crunchy. The person running the grill today does not know how to cook a steak properly. The waitress apologized before I even complained. She knew it wasn't good. And it certainly wasn't worth $37. But no manager or supervisor came to resolve the issue, or try to make it right. I was very disappointed, but I'm not one to make a scene. I asked for a box and left. On the bright side, my dog thinks it's delicious and he gives it two paws up.
